Earlier today, the K-pop group's management company, Big Hit Entertainment, announced on Twitter that boys were taking an "official and extended period of rest and relaxation. In a statement released in both English and Korean, the company announced that the boy band is taking time off to "rest and recharge in their personal ways. The statement also revealed that the boys will take this time to "enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s," and asked fans to respect their privacy, should they run into them during their hiatus. While Big Hit didn't reveal when the K-pop group would be back, they did confirm that their performance at the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in Korea on August 11 was their last scheduled one before their well-deserved vacay. The group secured two Teen Choice wins last year, and one the year before, so this definitely doesn't come as a surprise.
